Helping you to separate smarter

Divorcefully is a simple, affordable and quick way for couples to agree on parenting, property and money issues when they separate or divorce.

Be in control and know the process!

Work through five questions to help you decide if our tools are right for your situation.

Agreement

The agreement includes decisions from the other focus areas. A critical compenent however is ‘why’. You attorney can help with state allowed reasons, but you have to explain to the court why you and your spouse want to divorce.

Children

If you have children, the courts want to know how you plan to co-parent. This should include a document describing schedules, primary or shared residence, how events will be managed, shared costs mediated and grandparents.

If you feel there is any threat from the other parent, share this immeditely with your attorney or get assistance through the police. You and your childrens safety is paramount, do not jeapordize either when thinking about divorce. Act.

Assets

Assets include your house, multiple properties you might own, retirement savings, stock portfolios and even family heirlooms acquired during your marriage. Discuss how to divide these. Agree upfront and get it in writing. Write all of these down, leave out nothing.

Pay a small price for creating agreements, or pay nothing if you’re on an income support payment.
